Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated 16 September 2026

This policy explains your statutory withdrawal right and how refunds work for Filmotion subscriptions and credit packs. It applies to consumers in the EU and forms part of our Terms of Service. The seller is Filmotion, Schansweg 9, 1791LK Den Burg, the Netherlands.

1. Your 14-day right of withdrawal

As an EU consumer you have the right to withdraw from your purchase of a Filmotion subscription within 14 days of the day the contract is concluded, without giving a reason. To do so, tell us clearly before the 14 days are up — an email to veslate@gmail.com saying you withdraw is enough. You may also use the model withdrawal form from the Consumer Rights Directive.

If you withdraw in time and the exception below does not apply, we refund what you paid within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method you used.

2. When the withdrawal right ends: you start generating

Filmotion is digital content and a digital service that begins immediately. At checkout you expressly request that we start supplying it straight away and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once supply has begun with your consent and been fully performed as to the part you used.

In practice: as soon as you generate a video, clip, analysis or voiceover during the 14-day period, the right of withdrawal for that subscription is lost, because the digital content has been delivered to you at your request. This is the exception in Articles 16(a) and 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

If you have not generated anything in the period, your withdrawal right is intact and you get a full refund. Where we can reasonably identify that only a small part of a subscription period was used, we may offer a partial refund at our discretion — that is a goodwill gesture, not an obligation.

3. Credit packs

One-off credit packs are digital content supplied immediately. Unused credits from a pack can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if you have not spent any of them.

Once credits from a pack have been used, that pack is non-refundable. Credits are consumed oldest-first, they have no cash value, and generation costs are incurred the moment you start a render, so we cannot reverse them. Credits that expire unused — pack credits after 30 days, subscription credits at the end of the billing period — are not refundable either. Automatic top-ups follow the same rules as manual purchases.

4. How to cancel

Cancelling is immediate and self-service. Open your Account page in the dashboard, go to your plan or billing section, and choose to cancel the subscription. You can also manage or cancel it through the billing portal we link there.

Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for; you are not charged again after that. Cancelling does not delete your account or your videos — to remove those, delete them or close your account from the same page. Subscription credits expire at the end of that final period.

To switch off automatic credit top-ups, turn off the auto top-up toggle on your Account page.

5. Other refunds and problems

If something is genuinely broken — you were charged twice, a render failed and credits were taken without a usable result, or you were billed after cancelling — contact us and we will put it right, normally by restoring credits or refunding the charge. This is separate from withdrawal and from your statutory rights regarding non-conforming digital content, which are unaffected by this policy.

We do not refund because a video did not perform on social media, because a platform rejected or removed a post, or because you forgot to cancel before renewal. Chargebacks filed without contacting us first may lead to account suspension while the dispute is resolved.

Refund requests and questions go to veslate@gmail.com. See our contact page for response times. If we cannot resolve a dispute, EU consumers can use the online dispute resolution channels available in their country.
