Affiliate Programme Terms
Last updated 17 September 2026
These terms cover the Filmotion affiliate programme and form part of our Terms of Service. The programme is run by Filmotion, registered at Schansweg 9, 1791LK Den Burg, the Netherlands, company number 88008541. By sharing a referral link or earning a commission, you accept these terms.
1. Participation
Any Filmotion account holder can take part. You do not need approval: your referral link becomes active as soon as your account exists, and the programme rules on this page apply to you automatically when you share it. You may stop participating at any time by simply not sharing your link; closing your account ends participation.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to earn income in your country of residence. One affiliate account per person.
2. Commissions
You earn a commission when a person who signed up through your referral link actually pays for a subscription or a credit pack. A sign-up on its own earns nothing — commissions are only ever triggered by real payments from customers, never for recruiting other affiliates.
No commission is earned on: your own purchases; payments that are later refunded or charged back; payments we identify as fraudulent, self-dealing, or made through accounts you or your household control; or payments from people who arrived through another affiliate's link. Where a commission is already paid and the underlying payment is refunded or charged back, we may deduct it from future commissions.
Commission percentages and tiers are shown in the app and may change with notice; changes never reduce commissions already cleared.
3. Clearing and payouts
A commission becomes cleared 30 days after it is issued. This protects you and us against refunds and chargebacks — during those 30 days the commission shows as pending.
On the first day of every month we automatically pay out your cleared balance through the bank account you connected, provided it meets the minimum payout threshold shown in the app. Balances below the threshold simply roll over to the next month. There is no manual payout request; if you have not connected a bank account, your cleared balance waits until you do.
4. Earnings are not guaranteed
Earnings figures shown in Filmotion — on your profile, other profiles, the leaderboard and the earnings calculator — are real historical figures recorded on those accounts. They are not typical results, they are not a forecast, and they are not a promise of what you will earn.
What you earn depends entirely on your own effort, audience and approach. Many affiliates earn little or nothing. Never present any earnings figure as a typical or expected result.
5. How you may promote
- Be honest and transparent. When you recommend Filmotion somewhere people can see it, disclose that you earn commissions from referrals (for example "I earn a commission if you sign up"). Regulators including the US Federal Trade Commission and the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets require this.
- No misleading claims. Do not promise specific income, quote your own or anyone else's earnings as a typical result, or use "get rich quick" framing.
- No spam. Do not send unsolicited bulk messages or use misleading links, and follow the rules of every platform you promote on.
- No brand bidding. Do not run paid ads on "Filmotion" or similar brand terms, and do not create accounts or content that impersonate Filmotion.
- No incentives against our rules. Do not offer people cash or rewards to sign up beyond what the programme itself provides, and do not encourage refunds, chargebacks or policy circumvention.
6. Taxes
You are responsible for declaring and paying any tax due on your commissions in your own country. We do not withhold tax on your behalf unless the law requires it.
Filmotion is a platform in the European Union. Under EU DAC7 rules we may be required to collect your identity and tax details and report your earnings to the Dutch tax authority, which exchanges that information with other EU states. Where that applies, we will ask you for the details before further payouts.
7. Fraud and ending participation
We may withhold payouts, claw back commissions, or remove you from the programme if you break these terms, send fake or self-referred traffic, or create risk for Filmotion, its customers or its payment provider. Serious breaches may also lead to account closure under the Terms of Service.
If we end the programme or your participation, commissions already cleared and above the payout threshold will be paid out on the next payout date; pending commissions that have not cleared are lost.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
